Christmas Treats

I am up to my ears in sweets! Gingerbread houses, (made from graham crackers) and all kinds of different candy; I've baked shortbread, sugar cookies, and gingersnaps.  Then there are all those squares I bought to support our school's fundraiser. If we eat these treats at a reasonable rate, (which some of us will not) we'll still be eating them in July. It really is a lot of fun though, and my 12 year old boy is fairly certain this is what Heaven is all about.

    Hi Andrea - as kids we do seem to be able to put away a prodigious amount of cake and biscuits (as I call them!). Love gingerbread ... and enjoy all the Festive fun with the family - cheers Hilary

    Your cookies look delicious! You sure have been busy with the baking. I have only baked gingerbread cookies, and gave half the recipe to my little daycare boy who helped me. Next day his mom says they were "not fans" of gingerbread. I wonder what they did with the cookies :[

    I baked a bunch and made candy that I took to our family gathering..the one where everyone was ill! I made some cookies I'm taking to work tomorrow and then this weekend I'll be making all the fixings for Christmas dinner on Monday...boy this time of year is busy and I still can't believe Christmas is here already!     Oh...your cookies look so beautiful and delicious! I especially love how you decorated those Christmas trees! I seriously doubt they will last until July though, especially when they look THAT good! :D Merry Christmas!

Hi everyone!  I'm Andrea and I live in Saskatchewan, Canada.  I'm surrounded by farmland and we are in the dead of winter, so with the outdoors being so completely asleep, here I am in blogland, whittling down the coldest days of the year.
